when you say the picture is behind the sound, i take it you mean the soundtrack is playing ahead of the picture, when your watching a film etc. Are you sure you have'nt ajusted the 'av lip sync', the lip sync should be at 0 on most amps, if it's set higher than that the soundtrack etc will be out of sync. what blu ray player are you using with your amp, some times getting the latest firmware update can help sometimes.

Thats not true at all. Many tvs have VERY poor 'input lag'. My amps set to 50ms because my tv is 50ms out (only 20ms out in GAME mode else gaming would be a nightmare)

Many samsungs have some of the worst input lag on record

Ill see if I can find this particular models

A lot of A/V receivers now have auto lipsync, thats not to say yours has. You dont have your TV outputting the sound via an Optical cable to the receiver do you? this is likely to cause a lipsync problem.

If you look in your manual check out chapter 8: Using Other Functions. On Page 68 the manual tells you how to adjust & set your audio options including delays.

If you havn't got a manual, here is a link to the Pioneer VSX-920 manual in PDF format.

Hope that helps

Regards..

ive checked the limp sink and it is set to 0. Blu rays are fine, its the sky that is the problem that does not seem to be right?

no optical cable being used just one HDMI cable. Can the quality of the cable be causing this problem?

This has been very helpful. I have set the delay to 1.4 what ever that means, which seems to be about right

Ive heard of HDMI cables affecting sound sync before. Id swop it with something else to see if its that whats causing it
