Hi,

My mothers just bought a Panasonic TX - L32X15B and I must say I think the picture quality is brilliant... the problem is that i'm a little dissapointed with the sound quality of the unit.

Having played with the settings for an hour or so the sound I find is tinny, unless I push the bass up to the max at which point it distorts on certain channels which can't be good.

The previous TV, a 27" Panasonic quintrix (CRT), the sound quality was much much better.

I currently have a 3 year old 37" Samsung and the sound from that is brilliant in comparison.

I'd like to know if this a fault with the TV? Or do others who have purchased this model had the same experience?

Cheers

The plasma & LCD TVs are getting thinner at the expense of sound. The boxy CRT TVs sounded much better because of the air column behind the speakers. The thinner TVs today don't have that air column. That's the compromise the manufacturers have to make. So a dedicated sound system has almost become a necessity today.

The simplest way to achieve better sound without buying a proper home cinema system is by this.
