Panasonic th-37px80 screen issue?

After many hours of forum searching I decided to go for the Panasonic TH-37PX80 as I thought it was excellent value for money and because of the great reviews its had. I have had my set for about 2 weeks, the settings
are on normal and contrast, brightness and colour are all below half until the screen is run in. I normally
watch movies with the lights off and what I have noticed is when I turn
my tv off I can still see a outline of whatever image was last on the
screen just before it was switched off.

Example if it was the desktop for my pc and I just switch the tv off I
can still see a outline of the icons that were on the desktop.

It cant be noticed if the lights are on and it does disappear after a while but I need to be sure as it can still be exchanged and my local curry's still has a few in stock.

Is this normal? can someone else check there set to see if it does the same?

It's just image retention which is normal for plasma. My Panny does the same and it's not a problem. Don't worry about it and no point exchanging as any other set will be exactly the same.
