You can only get advice of this quality on WHF Forums; why go anywhere else.
smarky said:Hi,
Erm i cant see my post......not sure whats happened there...
Well i went to Pc world last weekend and saw the Panasonic TX-L55DT50 on display it looked a lovely screen it was up for £1299, but decided to have a think about it. Anyway went back up there on teh intention of getting it, but it had been taken down and replaced with the new TX-L55DT65 which looked stunning but at a £2k price tag. I spoke to the PC world guy and have to be honest he wasnt the most helpful, but what he did say was the DT50 has active 3D glasses which you cant buy from them any more they are obsolete you can only get them off of ebay or Amazon. He said the new glasses for the DT65 are passive glasses which panasonic are heading towards rather than active ones. and then... i saw a Panasonic TX-L55WT50 for £1498 so i guess what im asking is, what do i go for?! The DT50 looked lovely but am i going to struggle to get the glasses or is the WT50 a good buy(however on the display label its meant to come with glasses and this has been biro'd out)!! or do i save my pennies and go for the DT65!?
Help!!

Places like Pricerunner or kelco are a good start, as is Amazon - can guarantee you will get your chosen tv (once you do decide) for less.
I know it does not answer your dilema but you could use what you save to buy the admittedly expensive Panasonic 3d glasses elsewhere - I should know as I own 3 pairs !!!

Maybe between Panasonic's active glasses....but moving from active to passive display as in the DT65. They will definitely be the "wrong" glasses.

I think that is poor advice. How do you decide which TV looks the best as you can't view the TV's on the Internet. I am making an assumption that you will view in a local store (PC World, Curry's, etc ) that has to absorb the associated higher overheads. Then go and purchase from the internet. In the future where will you go for viewings when all the brick's and mortar retailers vanish because of your advice?
