Hi all,
My friend in Ilkley has just purchased this Tv for a specified Tv watching room. In his area he has never had freeview etc (terrible reception), and will use the room with Sky only.

When he switches the TV on (AV 1), a message comes on "Freeview not found" or something to that effect. what he has to do is using the Tv remote switch Av to HDMI 1 which is what Sky is on then use the Sky remote for the rest.

Can the Tv be set so that when it comes on it default starts with HDMI 1 first?

Sorry if this sounds drivel, but any help would be appreciated.

Many thanks
DJ

Thanks Maxflinn,

I am sure it can be done with the logitech harmony remotes, but that is just something else to buy. Bit of a tight fist my friend, so I was wondering if there was a setting within the TV to achieve the same.

Looks like I'm going to Panasonic user guide section for a bit of light reading.

I have a G10 and cannot for the life of me achieve this. I, like your mate, just want to use my cable box straight away but it always defaults to the Freeview/Freesat input.

The easiest way to do get what you want using a single remote is to just hit the standby button on the Sky/cable box remote to put it into standby mode, then power it back up again a few seconds later and the TV should pick up the AV input automatically and switch you over to that (at least mine does that)

I don't know if I am misunderstanding this query, but don't you just change the settings in the menu to default to AV on switch on.

My G10 defaults to my Virgin+ (HDMI1), as long as that is switched on.
