Panasonic pz85,80

Could someone please give me some advise?

I am thinking of getting either the panny PZ85 or the PZ 80 and have read the previous post regards these two sets which has gone some way to answer my questions of which of these two to buy.

does anyone have any suggestions of other manufactures sets to look at in this price range that are equal to the pannys performance.

Last year's Awrd winner, the Pioneer PDP-428XD is worth hunting out if you can find one, although it's being phased out as the replacement models are due in September. But if you can find one at a similar price to the Panasonics, it would be a bargain.

Andy, are Pioneer bringing out a 42" plasma this year then?

Just picked up the 42pz85 from john lewis , they had it on display for £805 and due to a mess up we got it for £721....with a 5 year warranty!.....

Absolutely sublime picture and for that money it puts it into a different price range to the pioneer. Whats more in the store there was not much to choose between the two.....yes the pioneer possibly had the edge...but we are talking smidgeons and then only when you compared them side by side.
