Haven't heard that they are any time soon. But based on the critical success and relatively high selling price of the Samsung LED TVs: (http://www.buydigital.tv/Samsung-LCD-And-Plasma-TVs.html) they have to be surely tempted you'd think wouldn't you!

Hi, I doubt Panasonic will be putting any focus on LED in the near future. They seem very dedicated to the Plasma technology and having seen some of the units that they will be launching 2010, I can understand why! They have a plasma panel that is around 0.8cm thick (not just at the thinnest point but the ENTIRE thickness) and the picture quality looks phenomenal. Plus, all the tech wizards who developed Pioneer's Kuro range, having left without jobs have all moved over to Panasonic to help better their technology.
