the main advantage the 310 has is the second hdmi output.. the most useful aspect being able to run lossless audio to HDMI 1.3 specified receivers while running 3d direct to the 1.4 specified tvs..
Many thanks. I was concerned that Sony 780 was a higher spec model and would give better quality pictures on my new TV (Samsung ue55D8000). as you can tell from my questioning i am a complete technophobe but am now comfortable that have not compromised quality.
Im thinking of the pana 310 for myself as been told and also read that its a very good player and a steal at 230ish . im not personaly a sony lover and it seems the 780 isnt as good as the the previous 770 but there will be a whfi test soon i suspect .
