just brought this player, is there anything i can do to make the pic any better? playing through a pioneer 5090, im blown away by the pic but is there anything i can tweek?

If your blown away by the picture already, leave it at that and enjoy. Take note of your settings and tweak what you like. You can always put back as you will have your original settings written down.

Yes,

Get a Blu-ray Calibration disc.

I used and continue to use 'Digital Video Essentials'. Calibrate your TV to match the player. Bargain, only paid around £13 from Amazon. Have spend hundreds upgrading cables etc. over the years yet pointless if current kit isn't set up to perfection.

Also run my Panasonic DMP-BD80 via a Tacima Mains Conditioner (£30) which has improved both sound and picture.
