I have this week purchased a Panasonic DMP-BD35 Blu Ray player.
Picture quality is excellent however when I set the unit to use the 24 Frames Per second setting 24P I am getting a noticable effect which i can only describe as if the backlight of the LCD tv is 'strobing' from top to bottom in 'waves'. This is fairly subtle and more noticable on lbright/light scenes. It is almost like the picture isn't synchronising with the TV properly, though I use a Samsung 46" LCD Model F86 which is an excellent screen and does support the 24P feature. I also use a top of the range 'Chord Company' HDMI cable so I am sure this isn't the issue?
When i switch of 24P the effect disappears?
Can anyone advise me where I may be going wrong if there is something I am missing as this is detracting from what otherwise would be an excellent machine which I have purchased following the advise of this publication.

Richard Howard.
