Panasonic 42px80 keeps changing tv input back to av

Hi,

I've got a problem with this set.

I have two HDMI inputs going into the tv, hdmi 1 is used by my apple tv. hdmi 2 is connected to my av amp.

The problem occurs when I switch from the apple tv back to normal tv. After about 5 seconds on normal tv it switches back to apple tv by itself... This doesn't happen when using the other hdmi input connected to my av amp. I've read the manual and tried playing around with the settings but I can't figure out why it's doing it.

Any help?

HDMI1 autoswitches. So the Apple box must be sending out a signal to the TV. Put the apple on HDMI2.

If your PX80 is anything like my PX60 then you'll have an option in your HDMI 'Setup' menu called something like "Control with HDMI". This detects a signal from the HDMI and automatically switches to it. If you turn it off, it should stop it happening.

Although having said that there may be no such setting on the PX80 and that won't help at all. Sorry.

If the Panny has not got a HDMI control input, check the Apple tv menu for HDMI contol output and switch it off.
