Well done on a great price! Where did you pricematch with?

I have to say I am still a bit confused as to how I do this when I live in the far North of Scotland so am not near a John Lewis store or the likes of S& V?

If you do get a pm through a store can you still order online?

JL treats Scotland differently to the rest of the UK as far as pricematching goes. There is a trial going on in Scotland where they only pricematch local stores. In the England, a JL store will pricematch any UK store.

BUT, what the Scots can do is get an English JL store to pricematch for them and deliver to Scotland. JL stores should deliver anything over £100 to any destination in the UK. Check out the "John Lewis Pricematch" forums.

When you have a pricemacth, you order through the store (phone/email) and not online. The JL website does NOT pricematch.

Just to add to the above, when you get your PM number from the English store just quote this when ordering from the Scottish store so that you get the PM price.

Hi

Had my Pana TH-37PX80B delivered last Friday from Flat TV Co., I paid 647-00 inc. vat & delivery.

It`s was the cheapest price I could find online. Most high street stores were asking for 799-00, so I think I got a decent price.

Hi, I've just had a PM from JL for £629 against Sound and Vison at Bolton. Might be worth a try in getting some more money back. Hope this helps.

Me too, at £635, including delivery.

Edit: Was down to £626 by the time I got my Visa credit. Those nice JL staff look after you!

Doesnt have to be in stock in the store, as long as it's stocked by their warehouses. There wont be a problem with the PX80, they have shed loads centrally.

Ive not seen anyone offering the 5yr guarantee unless you pay in the £800 region. That`s the beauty of JL. If you can get a PM at a lower price you still get the 5yr guarantee.

Have they got it in stock though? Despite advertising it on their website it wasn`t actually in stock. Plus, when I went to the store it was displayed at £718

I checked their site and it was showing in stock. I attended the store in Ilford on the same day and found the demo TV showing a price of nearly £100 more.

When asked if it was in stock they said they had none at all. I was advised to call them 2 weeks later.

I responded to this in relation to JL pricematching. I already own this set having done a PM myself!
