I can't tell you what's best but the Grado SR80i that I use are a very good listen.

You really need to listen for as long as possible before buying if at all possible because h/phones are more difficult than speakers. Not only have you to decide about the sound you like but also the comfort factor because some great sounding cans are absolutely sh#te when worn for long listens.

Based on the last 60 headphones I've purchased, this is the best. Quadpatch, who is expert with these things and posts here, would probably concur.

Thanks. So how is it compare to other AKG and Senheiser products ? Can you tell me your experience on it ?

For a comprehensive comparison to the many Sennheiser and AKG headphones, visit head-fi dot org and look at David Mahler's 50 Best Headphones review. It's a long read, but your question requires it.

Thanks Dale, I'm flattered that you referred to me as an expert, I would say that you are more deserving of that word than I. You're right though, from all that I've heard I have a lot of love for the HP100. I will also put out a mention for the more fun, but perhaps less refined sound of the Beyer DT770 Limited Edition.
