Options to extend my music listening pleasure on ipod beyond shure!

Hi,

I want to connect my ipod classic to my rega amp and B&W speaker what is the best option to hock it to my musical rega without losing any sound quality can I connect via stereo Y-cable (which brand) or dock is better are there docking station with remote which one is the best ? my budget is limited 100 pounds max, so can you recomend what are my options.Alternately are there any media servers which can play music from my file server (network drive) and produce sound quality matching my Arcam CD player.

First of all apologies for submitting a query without digging deep in the forums, I then came across my September 2007 WHF issue and now narrowed down the selection to either Arcam rDoc, cyrus link or Denon dock and also considering Netgear eva8000.

My question is if I don't have preference to connect Ipod to my Rega Amp then will the Netgear Eva 8000 or any other media server will produce better sound quality via my B&W speakers or best Docking station is still a better option.
