Onkyo TX-606 Some Questions & Advice Please

Hi,

I currently have a Harman Kardon HS250 system and have been considering changing the receiver for the Onkyo TX-606.

As the 606 has 4 HDMI inputs does this mean that, rather than plugging my HDMI devices into my TV, as I currently do, I would connect my TV, PS3, Sky HD directly to the 606?

If so, do I still have to connect the audio outs of those devices to the relevant audio in sockets of the 606 or does the HDMI cable carry the audio as well?

Presumably I can continue to use the speakers and sub-woofer of my HS250 with the 606?

the onkyo 606 has 4 inputs so yes u can connect your ps3 and sky to it and your tv will connect to the hdmi out socket this leaves u 2 hdmi inputs free should you need them ... and yes the hdmi carries the audio signal so no need for extra wires

sky doesn't output 5.1 via hdmi so you'll also need to connect the sky to 606 with optical too
