When flicking through channels on sky i get a slight "pop" or "thud" through my speakers (more noticeable through the rears)

Think i've seen this reported before but couldn't find any specific posts.

Does anyone know what this might be and if so is there anything i can do about it?

Thanks for your help all

This was a problem on the **5 series of Onkyo's, but i wasnt aware that it happened on the **6 series too.

There was an update for the DSP that apparently cured it.

It can be downloaded, blown to an audio CD and played through the optical connection to perform an update, or you can send it to a service centre to have them do it for you.

Not sure if this is the same for the **6 series though!

Does this happen as you change channels? If so it's probably just the amp momentarily unlocking from and locking to the digital datastream, and/or switching processing modes as the sound format being broadcast changes from channel to channel.

It's nothing significant - and it could indicate you have the rear channel levels set too high!

My 876 & HD bos used to do this, but since the new EPG this has stopped happening, don't know if that has anything to do with it stopping.
