One box solution

I'd like a Blu Ray player/DVD player & burner/HDD/Freeview all in one box. I'd like to replace the existing boxes underneath my TV with one simple piece of kit. Does such an animal exist? If so is it any good? Ta in advance

I take it you mean recorder, rather than burner?

It's freesat, rather than freeview. There's probably a much better new model out, but not sure of your budget. Sony were taking out a blu-ray recorder in Japan when I was there last November, not sure if they released them here.

this is the new model (250gb), which is freeview. Its bigger brother (500gb) got a 4star review on here - cited as being complex to operate...

Cheers - by burner I meant the ability to burn recorded programmes to disc as i can now with my current Panasonic

Yup, both of those have Blu-Ray recorders in to allow you to burn to disc.

The Panasonic Blu-ray recorders are excellent.

The DMR-BW880 - read the review here - merely lost a star due to price (though they've come down in cost since we first tested) and, as mentioned, complexity.

Yes try Dixons Clicky reasonably priced & you may find it cheaper elsewhere.
