I was at a football club today that was showing Man City vs Arsenal but instead of being on Sky sports it was on a channel called Nova Sports. I googled it and it is a subscription channel in Greece.

My question is why do they have it instead of Sky, is it alot cheaper? Is it possible to pick it up with a freesat dish and would it be worth getting it for my home?

Thanks

Because even at "official dealer" prices, a Greek Nova subscription for 12 months cost less than Sky charge most pubs/clubs for one month!

Added to that, foreign providers/broadcasters often show matches that UK broadcasters can't show

getting it for my home?Depends where you live in the UK...If you're in the south you may pick it up on a mini-dish, but ideally you would want an 80cm dish for reliable viewing, plus you'd need to re-align your dish to Hotbird @ 13 East.

It's cost prohibitive for home use tbh, as a 12 month Greek Nova sub is around £1000
