Northamber I-deck plus

Hi All

I've been looking for an iPod dock for my SO for around the £100 mark. I read a couple of the posts an here and have also taken a wander down to Currys to try some out as well.

My branch of currys has a 'Northamber i-deck plus' on sale, which at first glance appears to be exactly the same as the 'Monitor Audio i-deck plus' (the boxed examples are labelled Monitor Audio as well) The only issue I have is that the Northamber is for sale for less than 40% of the price that I've seen the cheapest Monitor Audio advertised for.

Am I missing something - is it too good to be true or should I run out and buy them all up and make a mint on ebay ;o)?

Well I know that Monitor Audio are no longer making the iDeck Plus, but that doesn't stop their enterprising Chinese supplier, it seems!

Have no way of knowing if it's the same unit without testing it, Toby. I'll see if Currys will send us one.

In the meantime, the Cyrus LinkMini Two (£80) is a damn-fine-sounding docking system.
