No sound from Panasonic plasma

As the title suggests I've just noticed that my reasonably new Panny TH46PZ81's on board speakers don't appear to be working. I always run it through my home cinema set up so rarely use it but tried to use it quickly to watch something but couldn't get any sound out of it. Checked the obvious ( not muted and is turned up) but am I missing something???

I do not know the particular TV... but some TVs have a special option in their menu system, where you turn off the integrated speakers (independantly of volume control and mute function).

Yeah I looked for this option but couldn't find it in the menu.....kids have probably messed around with it!

If you press viera link on the remote control you then have a choice of having sound from your tv or home cinema.

I don't know if thats any help.

Hi, thanks for the suggestion. Didn't set up the Viera Link to do this but I guess it may have been turned on by accident. When I hit the Viera Link button it comes up with just 'others' listed. It then asks me to press 'others' remote but when I do nothing registers?

Yes!

As far as Sky is concerned, if the HDMI (for picture) is going through the amp and you have an optical for audio, then you won't get any sound through your TV as there's no input.
