Hi all, this is a bit of a follow up to a previous post where I was considering getting a DacMagic but decided to upgrade the whole system instead.I`ve pretty much settled on the Roksan Kandy pairing of cdp and amp as they can be had as a bundle for under a grand but need advice on speakers as I`ve heard the Roksans can be bright sounding.I`d like floorstanders with good "oomph" in the bass as I am a bit of a bass fiend.Budget would be £6-700 possibly up to £800 if it would make a big difference (those who replied to my previous post will notice the budget has stretched a bit :) )Listening room is around 5m X 4m,musical taste is quite varied but does not include classical but do listen to a lot of bass heavy stuff such as reggae and funk. Many thanks in advance for any thoughts

Try to demo the B&W 684s/683s. You should also check out the MS Mezzo 6s. Don't forget you could always go for standmounts plus a sub, that'll give you that real deeeeeep bass you crave.

b+w 684 fits in with your budget, but i would advise you demo with the kandy pairing as i think metal tweeters sound harsh with them. although not floorstanders, you would be amazed at the bass that comes out of dynaudio focus 110's and they match well with the kandy L.lll cdp and amp. they're a bit outside your budget although i think worth it if you can stretch or find ex dem. however maybe you should consider demoing the dyn excite range, i haven't heard them, but they should have deep powerful bass cos they're dyn's.

B&W 684's would sound very good with the Roksan pair, I agree.
