Flood damage to my house has resulted in the need to replace my speakers. I'm using a Sony BDP S570 Blu-Ray player and Onkyo TSXR-608 amp. I'm fairly settled on B&W 684's for the fronts, B&W HTM62 centre and MT1 rears, (not much space for anything larger at the back), I was considering the B&W ASW608 for the sub, but my local dealer does not seem to stock it, or rate it very highly. Instead I'm being advised that the REL T5 is a better unit, it certainly looks very neat, but I notice that the internal amp is only 125 watts as opposed to the ASW608's 200 watts, not being able to do a comparison I wondered if anybody has got any thoughts or advice on this one? Thanks

If you want a bargain and don't mind white, the REL T3 can still be had £249. Cant compair it to the T5, as it didnt exist yet whe I bought my T3.

The store I bought my setup didn't rate the ASW608 either.

The T3 would certainly be a step up from the T5, alternatively BK have some excellent subs. If your budget allows the ASW610 would be a good step up also.

Sorry to hear about the flood.

If the sub is used primarily for movies, then you should also consider Velodyne Impact-12.

The BK is also hard to look past - as mentioned above.
