Starting to consider my options on a complete system refresh.
Room is 4M x 6M and the system will set up centrally in front of one of the 4M walls.
Music will be streamed from FLAC files and films will be DVD/BD/Streamed.

Current thoughts as a starting point are:
B&W 684 theatre with maybe M1 rears ( less space and more wife friendly ).
Onkyo TX-NR808 amp
LG 50PK350 TV
Will also add in Freesat/Sky, PS3, Wii, PC, Networking, PVR etc.

Questions:
What else should I consider?
Are the B&Ws and Onkyo well matched/compatible?
Is the 808 good enough for music or should I spend less on the AV amp and add a stereo amp in via preouts on the AV amp, or keep the 808 and add a stereo amp as well?
Is the PS3 good enough for BD or is a dedicated player better?
PC will be used for web browsing, email etc. and streaming FLAC, would a DAC be beneficial?

Would welcome opinions and advice, I am open to replacing any bits and will audition anything I need to.

In need of help on the same subject; looking to unify my AV and Hi-Fi setup so considering decent AV Onkyo 608, Yamaha 667 Denon 2311/10 etc and pre-amping, my local shop (Sevenoaks) reckon I have to keep them seperate but I reckon a certain amount of snobbery is creeping in? My main lack of knowledge is how the pre-amped stereo will sound with a half decent CD like the Marantz CD6003?

Thoughts?

Yeah same questions really. I will be auditioning the initial system next week hopefully and have asked the dealer to add in any other bits he thinks worth seeing/hearing.

Was hoping for a bit of advice/opinions from others before I went.

Nor sure about keeping them separate, would that not mean connecting the main speakers to both the AV amp and the stereo amp? Sure that is a no-no unless a switch is incorporated somewhere.
