Not that many to choose from at the price range, but i would seriously consider the Samsung 40b550 around £500. Great tv, and real good value but if you can up your budget a bit you may find some good deals on outgoing models from Sony and Panasonic like the Panny 42G10. What is your preferred size 37, 42, 46, 50.let us know a bit more im sure we can help.

Agree with lobby. Samsung is a good TV. What's your viewing distance?

Generally, plasma TVs, owing to their significantly higher refresh rates, are better than LCDs for gaming.

For your budget, you can look at Panasonic X20 series (although they're HD ready only, not full HD).

In LCD TVs, look at Samsung & Sony.

If you can increase your budget, check out the Panasonic G20.
