New equipment needed for 3D viewing?

Hey everyone,

I'm confused !!

Do we need to start buying new TVs/Projectors to be able to view SKY 3D and the like, or is this another con job to get us to buy 'the next best thing?' I know we don't need a new SKY HD box, so why would we need a new TV?

I remember Chuck being in 3D last year and that seemed fine to me, is this new stuff different?

Just thought I'd ask before I wasted a grand!!

Short answer is yes you will need a new TV. Whatever you have seen in 3D on a standard set is an older low tech way of getting a "sort of" 3D affect with the 2 different coloured lenses. If you plan on getting a 3D screen this year I'm guessing you might need to spend a bit more than a grand as well!
