New Denon M38DAB - Which Speakers should I get?

I'm keen to buy the new Denon Micro System for my bedroom. Which unfortunately means that the unit itself and the speakers will need to go on a shelf.

Can anyone recommend which speakers would be best in this situation?? (I'd want black ones to match the unit). I love B&W but the 685's will be too big I think and the 683's weren't so well received. Options that I have found so far are the Q acoustics 2010's (as recommended in the article), or Monitor Audio BR1's.

Additionally, is it possible to connect this sort of microsystem to a TV (18 month old Sony 32 inch LCD) and thus improve the sound??

Cheers

John

The BR1 is a fantastic speaker and can be had for very good price at the mo......a good match for the Denon.

If there are standard phono audio outputs on your TV (the red and white sockets), then you can plug it into one of the two pairs of inputs on the back of the Denon to improve the TV's sound, yes.

Shame the 685's are too big, when I swapped the speakers that came with my Denon M37DAB with the 685's while I waited for the other kit I was astounded. Shows the little Denon can do so much more with better speakers

I have the BR1s paired with the DM37 and its a lovely combination. Really impressed with them. I believe they are in the Sevenoaks summer sale marked down to £129 (a saving of 50 quid).
