Although having said that, somebody once said that if you've already had an avatar uploaded, you *can* change it in your profile (though I wouldn't swear on it, since I have admin rights so can't prove it)

I've never been able to upload an avatar. I've read the older (very long) post, and there doesn't seem to be a fix?

I have e-mailed my pic to the link given by Andrew above, any chance of an uplaod please chaps?

Cheers

I can change mine at will, but then I was able to upload it myself - I think that's where the key lies. I'd assume from this that the system just got to a certain number of users and decided that from that point on, new users couldn't upload or change avatars. Though I'm just guessing obviously.

Well tried to upload a pic, and it has not changed, not sure how long it takes.

Will wait for 10 min more and if not change through email

Same problem here - the browse and upload buttons function, but the Avatar does not appear. Is there a spec/size/pixels requirement for it? Thanks!

It's a known problem, which we hope will be fixed by a software upgrade some time in the future.

But again, mail it to us with 'DandyCobalt avatar' as the subject, and when I get a few mins this afternoon I'll have an avataring session. Preferably 80x80 pixels.
