I am gettin g a new amp shortly but I'm keeping my Technics Record Deck.

Here's the problem:

On the back of my amp the Record Deck plugs into a "Power Socket" like a kettle lead and this is where it gets it's power. When I get a new amp for example the Pioneer A-400 it wont have the kettle lead connection on the back of it in which I need to power my record deck.

If I was to plug a kettle lead into the record deck and the plug it into the mains am I going to blow this record deck into a million pieces all the way to mars ?

It does say on the back of the record deck above the Kettle Lead cord 240V so I suppose it should be alright ?

Cheers.

change the plug on the lead to the standard mains plug and youll be fine

Thanks for your reply, I havent got a spare plug laying around so I have plugged in a kettle lead from an old PC and it looks like it is working, there's no green red or blue smoke and no loud bangs so all is going well.

Thanks for the reply!!

good im glad

if you need information about your deck vinylengine has the service manual available for download
