Hello,

I'm about to buy a stereo that will replace my current set up, which is a Bluesound Pulse. Unfortunately, I'm having problem with the placement of speakers of any size. My living room is quite small, and there is no placement that feels natural. I can't really place them next to the TV, since there is also a fireplace on that wall. Today, I have two small d'Feldt Audioengine on a shelf above the TV, but they are placed less than 1 meter apart and also quite high (1.70 centimetres or so above the floor) due to the heat, so I guess that spot is not ideal. Since there is very little to no wall on the right side of the fireplace, I can't place a speaker there either (although I have toyed with the idea of extending the wall...).
Other options are:

1) Speakers in the "deep window". The window sill is deep enough for some smaller speakers. But it's a window facing south, so the sun exposure may be a bit harsh?
2) On/next to the piano. Will be a bit cramped, and with the risk of having my kids knocking them down.
3) On the cupboard/in the bookshelf. Will play straight out in the open air, instead of being directed towards were we actually sit (but I have kids, so I don't very often sit down).

I have made a quick sketch of the room to make it a bit more clear. Any suggestions/thoughts on were I could place speakers are very appreciated! (And suggestions on which speakers i could/should buy that are small enough to fit in this room.

Thanks in advance!

I did suggest getting speaker wall brackets for box shelf speakers to someone else on here but for you more so as you have kids and kids like to poke there fingers in the drivers on the speakers as mine did with my Pc speakers .
Then at least you can mount on the wall anywhere you want in the space you have but something like this
