Need help deciding which amplifier to buy

Hi everyone.

I have a Denon PMA350/ii retailing new in the early 90's, it now has faulty speaker relays which affect the speakers output and a broken resistor or capacitor which affects the source input selector. I think it might be about time to buy a new amp as I don't know if/where to begin considering repairs for it, or if it would even be beneficial in the long run because of its age now. Ideally I'd like to stick with Denon if I buy new as I like the style and sound of their amps (I don't want anything too flashy either). I'd be hoping to pick up one of the heavily discounted amps in the january sales for under £200, but I may push slightly over if its justifiable. I've seen two amps which take my interest and would likely fit my needs;

PMA-720AE (50wpc ~ 8 ohm/80wpc ~ 4 ohm) £149.00 (typically retails over £300)

DN-A100P (45wpc ~ 8 ohm/70wpc ~ 4 ohm) £209.00 (also typically retails over £300)

So quite generous discounts!

The PMA model is a mid range home audio amplifier and the DN-A model is described as "Professional", but I can't see a whole lot of difference between them other than the latter has about 5 watts of power less, and costs quite a bit more.

I have some questions:

1. Would there be any benefit to spending the extra £££ on the "Professional" model? And what exactly about it is professional (less coloured frequency response or just generally more robust perhaps than its home audio counterpart?)

2. Is there much difference in volume between a 45wpc and 50wpc amp? Numbers suggest not, but what about actual performance wise?

I'm not too fussed about having ample power availability as I can never play too loud due to living in an ordinary semi-detached house with bookshelf speakers mounted on the walls, but typically I'd like something with similar performance to my current amp (which is 50wpc ~ 8 ohm) or similar. Also something that I'm not going to have to be sending off for repairs or replacement within the first year or so of use.

Thanks - Karl.
