Need advice on where to go with media streaming

I was wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to go with media streaming.

Just bought an Arcam AVR500 and using my old Arcam Alpha 5+ CD player. Rather than buying a new CD player I thought I would investigate something like the Sonos with a NAS drive and serve the music that way. That gives me the flexibilty to have the music in other rooms too.

Is this a good option or are there any alternatives I should look at? From what I read in What HiFi there may be some new systems coming out in a few months time. I'm looking at spending about £1000.

A grand would get you a NAS and a Sonos BU250 bundle, which would give you a ZP90 to plug into the Arcam amp, a ZP120 for another room (which will need speakers) and a controller.

If you were thinking of more rooms than that then you might need to look at squeezebox, which generally comes out a bit cheaper but I don't think they have any equivalent to the ZP120, so you'd need amps in each room.
