Wow, long time since I've been here! My three year old M2 has a start up error, about which it is keen to inform me on the display every time it's powered up. Anyone else experienced this and managed to get it fixed?

Hi,
Are there multiple possible error notifications, and if so, what error notification is being presented ?

Or is the error just an LED lighting to state an error ?

Any other symptoms, such as no output etc ?

Regards,
Shadders.

No, it's just 'Start Up Error, Power Off' (which it does automatically if you don't do it manually) and so no music.

Hi,
If you checked the manual :

"
• Shut down M2 by turning off the rear
panel POWER switch. If there is no action
undertaken, the M2 will shut down itself (go
to standby mode) within 10 seconds the fault
happened.
• Restart again the M2 by switching ON the
rear panel POWER switch (if you have shut
down the M2 via the POWER switch) and then
pressing the front panel STANDBY button or
remote control's [ON] button.
"

Unless switching off using the rear panel switch, causes the fault to disappear, then it is a return to the vendor who sold it to you. You should have a 6 year warranty - although this is always discussed - some people disagree etc.

Regards,
Shadders.

Has the problem been solved? I have the same problem in my NAD M2.
Hi,

What exactly is your problem? I had problems with my NAD 390DD at start up, same amp in sheep's clothing earlier this year. Although its no longer supported the issue was with the PSU boards , 7Oaks in the UK fixed it with £11 parts and £50 labour.

My advice is to take it to a dealer.
