Funny how some hi-fi leaves its mark on you. I used to have a NAD C302 for a few years when the kids were very young and before i started my 2 year upgrade path to what i have now.
Anyway my PC was moved recently to the tiny cellar as a kind of office / space for me and so i decided to rig up some music for this small 3m x 2m space as cheap as possible but still something that felt quite hi-fi.
I used
some old QED Silver XT cable
the PC as the source
bought some Quad Lite speakers for £100 (they needed to be pretty small)
so i needed an amplifier - i quite fancied having a NAD again and got a C320 BEE off ebay for just under £100 including carriage.
Having set it up and listening now to Nick Drake on Spotify it actually sounds much much better than i expected to be honest. I dont think ill need even bother with say a DAC or anything to try and improve it.
Anyway a nice return to my NAD days and the C320 BEE is great.
