So we moved into a bigger house last summer & I've always wanted a separate space where I can listen to music in peace, watch movies, fire the Xbox up etc. I initially setup my first projector but didn't get on with it all & switched to a 65" Sony LED which I'm delighted with.

On the audio side I went round the houses a bit, I had some Wharfedale 12.1s but just could not the system sounding right, went through 4 amps thinking they were the problem. The revelation for me was going to RS to demo some floorstanders & the guy suggested a 2.1 setup. I ended up with the speakers below which sound excellent in my small room. The amp I picked up for £60 off FB & I'm very happy with it (while I was there the guy also had the Marantz for sale, got that for £30!). Gear is

Onkyo A-9010
Marantz CD5005
Monitor Audio Bronze 50
REL TZero mkiii
Wiim Pro Plus
Sony BDP-S300
Sony 65X95
ATV 4K
Xbox Series S
Artwork: a work in progress
Wires: need a tidy

Congrats!
Cables like twisted spaghetti are testament of your battle scars. View them with pride. 😉

Ps. If it's a bother, get a longer cabinet stand and tuck them behind.
The one I got from IKEA works for me.

Yeah have considered, but I do love the TV stand I have. Another FB bargain, cost £40 and is teak (I think), weighs an absolute ton and is very well made
