Muting Speakers

Hi,

I have a Denon PMA 250 amp with a headphone output. However, plugging my headphones into this does not mute the external speakers and there does not seem to be any controls for doing so. Does anyone know what could be the issue here?

Older kit incorporated a switch into the headphone socket to disconnect the speakers when you inserted the plug. could be that this is broken on your amp. shouldn't be that difficult to get it repaired or replaced. Look in yellow pages for hi fi repair if you're not confident doing it yourself..

Nothing wrong and no need for a repair: as it says in the manual
