musicial fedility A5.5 or quad 909

Hi,

I have a quad 22l2 speakers with an arcam A 85 amp and I want to upgrade now. Should I go in for A5.5 or quad 909. Please suggest which is better

To use the Arcam as a preamp, or to biamp? If the former, the 909 might be a good bet; if the latter I'd be looking for an Arcam power amp.
