MP3 Hi-Fi System?

I am looking for a good/high quality Hi-Fi system for my home which has a large internal storage for MP3s (as well as other media types like WMA) as I do not own any CDs. This will effectively serve as a static mp3 player, I do not need it to play CDs or vinyl. I don't quite know where to start looking as i have never seen anything like this before but it must exist! Does anyone have any suggestions? Many thanks in advance. [😀]

You can use your PC as the source, connected to a DAC which is then connected to an amp and your speakers.

If you want a system for downloading only that is compact you may want to consider a Mac Mini due to its small dimensions, which has up to 500GB internal storage, connected to an integrated dac / amp such as the Peachtree Audio Decco or iDecco.

Though my opinion is that mp3/wma will not give 'good/high quality' Hi-Fi.

Another compact option would be your existing PC/Mac streaming to a UnitiQute - a number of speaker manufacturers were using this set up at the Manchester show recently.

Clearly, you would be better using uncompressed files.
