Hi,
It's finally time to upgrade my old student system and I'm looking for advice. All my music is now streamed losslessly through a Squeezebox and I'm looking to buy an amp and floorstand speakers to suit. I mainly listen to rock and blues, with some occasional folk. Budget is around £800.
I can demo NAD C326 and either Q Acoustics 1050i or PSB speakers locally.
But I've also been looking at e-Bay and thinking that I could move up really move up a level with secondhand kit. I'm tempted by Kandy LIII or Nait 5i and I've found B&W 684 and MA RS6 speakers which would suit my budget. But then I can't demo and I don't want to travel and go round shops trying kit that I'm not going to buy from them.
So any advice welcome - should I stick with stuff I can listen to first, or is the step up at this level worth taking a risk on?
Andy
