Monitor Audio upgrade

I have really enjoyed my Silver 8i's over the last several years but feet that an upgrade is in order.

I am looking at some GS60's at £1200, will they give the same sound but better?

or shoud I look at something else?

For alternative speaker for your Arcams, PMC GB1S will sound terrific. But as always, when spending that sort of money, a dem is essential (home dem preferable).

They will be bi-amped with the 2 P25's or if I find money down the back of the sofa 2*P1's.

Main source is the MF KW DAC from CD or MiniDisc. VDH First/First Ult I/C, VDH Teatrack S/C.

That's hell of a good price for the M/A GS60's!

If not those then deffo demo the GS20's and as PP said; the PMC GB1's.

Ok they are second hand (owner is in the hifi trade) and if I can get close to £400 for my Silver 8i's they it will only cost me £800 ish.

Sounds logical - I'm not sure of the s/hand value of the 8's, but if you can achieve £400 - result!

I have had chance to listen to some GS60's and I am going to take the plunge.

The bloke I am buying from is in the Hi-Fi trade, Phil Hardaway (chord company).

If you like the S8i then I think you'll love the GS60s. Superb speakers, very airy.
