Since everybody's taste is different, the answer you get will vary.

IMO. You should make a list of price comparable speakers and pick the one you like.

My previous experience with Pioneer amplification is that it's on the bright side of neutral. I recently sold my RX6's as they didn't suit the lively nature of my Naim amp. My personal view would be that the RX6's need amplification on the warmer side of neutral to be at their best.

This would be my view as well.

I see you have a Vertere D-Fi USB, which I thought made a difference when I heard it......I know it's controversial, but did you find the same?

It did much to my amazement. I had a Supra USB lead, but when I bought my DAC the dealer lent me the Vertere. I was a bit annoyed with myself when I got home, I was thinking why did I take it, I'm only going to have to post it back.

I was really sceptical as to how a USB cable could make a difference, but I'd go as far as to say the difference was massive. More detail & dynamics, it wasn't a subtle difference. Needless to say I had to ring the dealer up and give them my card details!

Good job, there's now two of us......and as luck would have it, the bed next to me in the funny farm is vacant. ;)

I did a review of my evening spent with Vertere here: http://www.whathifi.com/forum/accessories/an-evening-with-touraj-moghaddam-vertere

Apologies to OP for thread drift.
