Monitor Audio GS10 Speakers

Is the sound quality from a standmount speaker enhanced when placed on there purpose built stand or same sound quality from any speaker stand??. Looking at the GS10 but only want to buy budget stands for them!!!!!

My GS10s sit on ex demo "Foundation" stands, but they are heavy and stiff. The GS10s have very good base for a standmounted speaker and I think any heavy stand (use bluetack) should do the job well
