Just checked my emails and I've recieved a regular update from MA, including a new range of compact speakers called Apex. Has anyone heard of these and what are they like?

Have WHFI S&V requested a sample for testing yet?

The new Apex series of sub/sat speakers promises to be quite a step up from the already impressive Radius HD series. Mine have been on order for some time now so i should shortly be receiving the demo set in Piano Black finish.

Information about the package were to stay under wraps until Monitor Audio released details. Technically, that would be Friday.

To clarify, Monitor Audio released details exclusively to us ahead of the Consumer Electronics Show in January, for publishing on the first day of the show itself. As we did with that 7th Jan story.

Monitor Audio will be showcasing the new Apex range at the Bristol Show this weekend, too - full details (and pic) in our preview blog.

I must be the "Kim Philby" of the forum. Oh well, they did email me the details yesterday so I assumed it was common knowledge.

Was more arching my eyebrow at retailer suggestions that this is somehow secret, when Monitor Audio has been providing us - and its customer contacts - with information for some time...

Not so much a secret, but retailers weren't allowed to mention to customers about the product, and we're not allowed to post anything on our websites/blogs/forums - I rang them yesterday to ask for info I could post up, but they said I couldn't have any for the reason I mentioned. They said I'd have to wait for the Bristol launch.

It looks like another retailer who posted details of the system on their website has been made to remove them.

You haven't done anything wrong mate - if they've emailed you with details you can do with those details what you like

I've just spoken to them, and we can post details and photos on websites/forums as soon as Monitor Audio put the details up on their own website.

Hi Plastic Penguin, Monitor Audio will be annoyed, there's a full page advert (glossy too) for the Apex in the March edition (p84), can't have made much of an impression.

Your welcome. I should be the first UK dealer to get hold of the new Apex Series so i too will be happy to keep the forum updated on these exciting new Monitor Audio speakers.

It feels like the build up to the Silver RX Series all over again!
