Mission MX4 Vs MX5

Hi all,

I'm looking for some HT speakers and currently looking at the new Mission MX range. Had a listen to the MX4s and they sounded pretty good, but also looking at the MX5 speakers, I was wondering what extra they could offer me? The retail store didn't have the MX5 in stock so I couldn't make a comparative assessment and the sales guy couldn't give me any definitive answers. Anyone able to shed any light on the differences between those two speakers or if one is better for certain application?

Maybe someone could even shed some light on the differences between the earlier models being M34i and M35i as I would assume they would be the same differences ??

I do have M35i and they do have plenty of bass. So R&B rap etc they will produce lots of bass. They also sound superb when I play some acoustic guitar music. Now this is my SOLE opinion as people have different tastes. How did the Mx4 fair? what amp did they use if u remember?

The MX4s sounded good, but lacking a bit of mid range punch, will the MX5 fix that? The amp was a Denon AVR-2310.

I haven't heard the MX5s I am afraid. I see the mx bookshelves got a 5 star rating from the gang here. Try and arrange for a demo.
