Merry xmas everyone. I find this is perhaps the best time to enjoy music and appreciate being an audiophile.

lot of compliments on your sound systems from guests and few silly questions like

is it bose?

bought it from currys?

is it very loud?

you must be mad!

Bah, humbug. I've got the flu so I hope everyone has a miserable Xmas. I will spend the day listening to a lovely retro Luxman amp from the 70s and and a pair of JBL boomshelf speakers from the 80s. Sounds magnificent, but I'd be happy just looking at the wood used on the amp and the gloriously solid tactile feeling of the knobs and switches.
