I'm just making light of the 'Yorkshireness' of the brand.

Unlike others I cannot think of Bentley as the first vehicle that springs to mind when Naim is mentioned.

A racing Mini 850S or a Brompton folding bicycle came long before Bentleys in the company founder's history.

gooner26:Just been browsing on Meridian's website and ive fallen in love with there digital loudspeakers. used to own a meridian f80 and was blown away by the sound quality of a device that was so small but was a match for a seperates set-up of simular price. so is it a fair statement to say they are the rolls royce of british hi-fi?

I'd say more like Mercedes - overpriced, under performing.....

johnnyjazz:Why drive a Bentley when your chauffeur can drive it for you.

Y'see, when I visited the factory in Crewe I was told that the difference between Bentleys and Royces is that the majority of the former are owner-driven, not chauffed...
