apologies for the attention grabbing headline ,maybe its catching , im just hoping that samsung will send whfi one of their 50b850 plasmas for review , ive read a few reviews elswhere that were very good , and would love to know whfis opinion , last year samsung had a 656 plasma that went on sale without a review anywhere ( actually 1 on a us site ) , presumably they didnt sell many , ive never even heard mention of it on these forums , surely samsung want to sell tvs ? if anybody knows why they dont seem to get behind their plasmas in the same way as they do lcds id love to hear why ? ads for their lcds are commonplace , anybody ???

I asked for one of these in currys yesterday,and they told me they are hard to get hold of. Apparently, currys are only getting 30 sets in the whole of the UK, and told me chances of getting one are slim. The price on their in store computers is currently only £999 as well, but on their website it is £1399.
I'm not sure if they meant that it will be hard to find one to buy from a currys store, or if they meant in general, because I've seen a few advertised on the net around the £1250 mark. I've started looking at other sets now because I dont really want to buy one without being able to see it first

cheers chris , i do find it strange that samsung lcds are very easy to find , as are their advertisments , and apart from the humdrum low spec sets , their plasmas are not that easy to find , maybe samsung are not planning on making plasmas for long more ? and see lcd as the way forward , certainly looks that way ...
