Marantz UD8004 or Pioneer BDP-LX91

Hello,

I know not so much about Blue Ray players, so I'd like to get some advices. I'm beggining to make a suite of home cinema. So for the beggining I have Pioneer KPR 500 TV. Thinking about buying Marantz UD8004 or Pioneer BDP-LX91. I'd like to know which one is better talking about picture and sound guality, because they cost nearly the same.

The Marantz is the better machine.

I'd go for the Marantz also. Would guess that its CD playback would be better too.

As a big pioneer fan, and someone who would love a Lx91, I'd go for the .........Marantz.

Better all-round universal player.

I was sure about buying LX91. But when I saw HiFi team review on Marantz UD8004, then I thought that maybe it is better to buy Marantz UD8004, because it costs nearly the same, quality is plus minus the same and it's newer than LX91.

Another +1 for the Marantz. Good as the Pioneer is the Marantz out performs it in picture and in CD sound in particular.
