Marantz NR1504 or Yamaha RX-V673

I have Marantz PM6004, CD6004 and Panasonic DMP-500 bluray with Monitor Audio Bronze 2 speakers. Looking for new receiver to connect with stereo amp (to keep stereo set up the same). Torn between the Marantz NR1504 and Yamaha RX-V673. Not many reviews of the Marantz/difficult to audition. Has anyone compared the two? (Yamaha is available for around £350 now). I do like the look/build quality of the Marantz (both appear to have L R Audio pre outs to connect to stereo amp).

just to add, i sold my yamaha rxv673 and went for the Harmon Kardan AVR171

read good things about it's ability to play music really well, and it does - i can't fault it at all and it also sounds amazing with films

i spotted it on Richer Sounds down to £249 from £450

so glad i made the purchase

speakers i'm using are Q Acoustics....lovely !!

i have a Yamaha RX-673 and Monitor Audio silvers, blu ray is pioneer LX-55, i want to improve my sound when playing CDs on the blu ray, what connection / system / settings do you use as you say you are happy with the music sound. I dont want to change the amp due to the physical size i needed. Dont get me wrong the music sounds ok but i think it could be better.
