There are a few dodgy looking scenes, as there are in all movies, but overall, the piscture is great. There are a few scenes where the NZ landscape could've done with being sharper, and bits where things were a little soft maybe due to the application of special effects, but there are also some stunning looking scenes with some amazing detail.

Sounds is excellent too.

Agreed, but another funny thing - many were complaining that Fellowship's not that great - the first 2 minutes of Two Towers is not great at all - I was really worried. The snow-capped landscape really looks soft and a bit washed out.

I don't care. They are essential purchases to me. I'm waiting for the extended versions though.

Think it looks good on DVD? Blu Ray really takes it to another level.

One little but, has anybody else had a lip-sync issue. Only watched fellowship so far and fixed it with lip sync adjustment on amp, but quite surprised how far out it was on my stuff.
