(first of all I'm not native speaker. so my english might be really strange...)

Recently I've moved to smaller place,

and I can't really find any space for my audio set in my room.

so I was thinking of buying something portable which is usually called

all-in-one audio.

like crosley, electrohome, etc.

but I heard that those things made in modern days usually are rubbish.

so I'd like to know if there's anything you would recommend,

or is it better to buy a vintage stuff.

I have CDs, LPs, and I listen to the radio very often.

so it's got to have cd player, turntable, and radio.

help me...

Hi Joe, welcome to the What HiFi forum!

First off: your English is fine *smile*

As for your question: we need some more information:

- what's the price bracket?

- do you mean 'all-in-one' as in 'speakers included in the unit'? Or 'all-electronics-in-one' + a pair of outboard speakers?

- how small is your small room? Any 'inconveniences' (large windows, doors, ...)?

- any hifi shops around where you live? What brands do you have access to?

Looked at those brands circa $200? If I were you I would buy a decent wifi speaker and stream, keep your old media as museum and nostalgia pieces and enjoy some sort of decent sound, an all in one with a turntable for $200 is going to sound well.. And probably ruin your records.

I have the above system in my kitchen on a kitchen shelf, the sound of the system is very musical, not bad for a small system (no problems with room natural audio and speakers). Agreed it does not have a turntable, but you do not have to play from streaming, what I do use it for listenning to ripped Cd's and internet radio from the whole world. From my remote I can choose music from any genre, rock, classical, jazz, blues, Arabic instrumental music, Greek music, electric music, chamber music and etc... The total cost was £579.00. The system does not take up any large space and I find that the cost of the system has proven cheap to the pleasure and quality I derive from the system. Its not a strictly transportable system but you can safely pack the system in to one large strong bag if you want to transport it to another place. It has wireless internet connection.
